“Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”
– Winston S Churchill

The session 2020-2021 began amidst the great chaos of the Corona Pandemic. The set pattern of life on the whole went for a toss and so did the methods of teachings.  Since every individual was locked up in the safety of his or her home, a new method had to be soon taken up. I am really thankful to our Principal Rev. Dr. (Mrs.) Vinita Eusebius for her vision, and through her guidance we were able to start online classes well in time, which helped the children to continue with their studies even during the Pandemic time.

Along with online teaching, de-stress videos were also prepared for children to motivate and instill positivity in them. These videos were based on music, dance, art, S.U.P.W etc, where both children and teachers actively participated. An online Poster making competition on the 15th of August 2020, was held for classes Sixth to Eighth and the topic for the competition was ‘Freedom through Non-Violence’. Children vividly expressed their imagination through this event.

Inspite of constraints, Final Exams 2020-2021 were conducted online and emphasis was laid on projects, attendance and participation, internal assessment etc.

Academic year 2021-22 started in full swing. A good rapport between teachers and students was built up during online classes. Along with regular online classes, Independence Day, Teacher’s Day, Women Empowerment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. On 9th September’2021, AISCE-Inter School Declamation Competition was organized in which Niti Tripathi of Class 8th C bagged the Second Prize. Different clubs of Girls’ High School & College organized online activities based on the themes Swachh Bharat and Women Empowerment. Students of Middle School participated in these activities in large number.

Motivational videos were uploaded on G.H.S E-Learn Portal, during Autumn Break, to inspire and challenge students. Online viva was conducted for all the subjects. Half Yearly Exams 2021-2022 were also conducted smoothly.

The motto of our dear Principal ‘We Can and We Will’ enabled us to sail smoothly through the challenges of the Pandemic years 2020 & 2021. Thus, together we were able to carry out all our academic and extra-curricular activities successfully.

Finally, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dear Principal and my colleagues for their continuous support and guidance.
